The article starts off about the recent realization by the FDA that pharmaceutical policy was setting people up to die of liver disease if they overused Vicodin, because it is intentionally laced with acetaminophen.
It goes on to logically tie that to the intentional poisoning of alcohol during Prohibition 1.
This is clearly the domain of the sado-moralist. They’re always around making sure that people get harmed rather than high.

If anybody besides the government set traps like this, intentionally meant to hurt and kill people, they would get the death penalty for premeditated murder.
But the government just gets re-elected.

From a 2004 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), ProCon.org obtained documents indicating that the US government, through sub-contractors, is still testing marijuana for Paraquat, a toxic pesticide that was banned in the United States because of its harmful health effects, and finding it in some seized marijuana samples.

Most people would have no idea their medicine has been contaminated with acetaminophen merely to cause them die if they somehow take too much of it for whatever reason.
Not only is the government arbitrarily killing people for committing minor crimes of vice, it’s essentially shooting at them from the rooftops. To the feds, the wages-of-sin truly is death.
DAWN (Drug Abuse Warning Network) estimates for 2008 in the US 204000 emergency department visits related to “Hydrocodone/combinations” including 170000 related to acetaminophen-hydrocodone. That’s out of an estimated 669000 visits related to opiates/opioids (other than heroin). It’s not clear from the DAWN data how many acetaminophen-hydrocodone visits are related to liver damage.

The DrugWarriors better pray there’s no social breakdown in this country resulting from the insane economic policies this government implemented at the rich fat cat’s prompting, as there’s tens of millions of people who’ve had their lives and health destroyed, not by drugs but by DrugWarriors; those victims of the DrugWar’s ‘tender mercies’ have a few ‘examples’ to make, themselves.

You know, recently I’ve been seeing lots of stories in places like Yahoo news with a comments section, and the comments are really appalling.
Yesterday, there was a story about China executing 3 Filipinos for drug smuggling. The Philippine government was beside itself, having banned the death penalty already, and believed their citizens were innocent. China, of course, did not, and swiftly executed them in the cold, clinical fashion the world has come to expect from that government.
The comments section filled up with people saying how happy they were that China killed them, how much they deserved it, and how we should follow China’s enlightened example back in America. I found it really depressing to read, because I think the anonymity of the internet brings out people’s true feelings.
A lot of these law and order characters consider themselves social conservatives, and are presumably religious (unless they are atheistic statists). Now, I’m not particularly religious but I get the idea. What part of “Thou shalt not kill” is so hard to understand? Would Jesus have injected filthy, caustic chemicals into the veins of those people because “they are animals who deserved to die” ?

Even better is that the entire “death penalty would be effective” fraud is built on the story of how China got drug free “overnight”. Hello? If the death penalty made China “drug” free, why are they executing people on drug charges? Hello? Did these people forget to pay the bill, and so their brain service got shut off?
The really rotten thing about the demonization of black market drug vendors is that it’s one major impediment to setting up a regulated retail distribution chain. What, and let the ***pushers*** get away with it?
i have newspaper articles dating all the way back to the 1800’s about the chinese executing people over drug use to set an example. i don’t know what example they hope to set, but it should be clear to them by now that executing people doesn’t appear to be a successful way to teach anyone a lesson about using drugs.
Jesus things are getting bad in California. It’s getting to the point where people are going to start thinking that the Holder memo was a trap to draw the medical cannabis players out into the open.
Gary Johnson has thrown his hat into the ring. Any possibility that we can get potheads to register as Republicans to vote in their State’s primaries? OK, ok I’m a victim of wishful thinking. What the heck, I’ll do it anyway. I wonder how many registrations changes from Green Party to Republican the registrars see every year?
I think if Gary Johnson and Ron Paul teamed up under the Libertarian Party banner, they’d win the country, hands down. Both are very well known, now; they are all over cable TV news channels. Both are very well liked by average people. It would be a good thing for the nation, the drug policy reformers (and users), and for the Libertarian Party.
