Another teen has fallen victim to the dangers of Equasy. Lauren Bryant, 16 was found on Sunday afternoon and died on the way to the hospital.
Sure, the rich protect their use of equasy even as they work to imprison those who use ecstasy, a drug no more dangerous. In fact, Professor David Nutt was fired from his job advising the UK government for daring to point out that equasy is as harmful as ecstasy.
While they shudder in horror at the notion of a 16-year-old using marijuana (something that couldn’t kill them), these same people actually encourage equasy for their youth (it was, in fact, a birthday present from her family that ended up causing Lauren’s death).
Children are dying. Attractive white children even. Children who live far from the inner city.
How can we possibly outlaw marijuana and ecstasy while these jodhpur-wearing country-club trash continue to defend and protect their equasy?
I read somewhere that deaths attributed to equasy are greater than those occurring from motorcycle accidents.
In fact, while no one in my family has died from taking a drug, or riding a motorcycle, I did have an uncle I never met whose death was caused by equasy.
The idea that ecstasy is more dangerous than equasy is just a lot of equine micturition.
Perhaps NIDA and Dr. George Ricaurte should perform a study on whether a horse hoof upside the head can cause brain damage.

I had a cousin who died back in the 70s from equasy at the age of 16. Her horse went over backward on top of her, it broke her neck, she stood up with a confused expression on her face and collapsed dead in front of her parents, her twin sister and her brother. It was tragic, but it didn’t stop her sister and brother from continuing to enjoy equasy. Nor did it stop me, my hubby or my kids from enjoying equasy, either. It’s in our blood for life.

Let’s not forget that equasy is a gateway to performing in live donkey shows in Tijuana. I’ve heard that 99% of the performers in those bestial displays of beastiality started with a short, innocent horseback ride but then we all know what comes next. Do the people who support legal equasy care about the children they’re sentencing to 2 shows daily and 3 on Friday and Saturday? No, they just want to keep their supply and not get arrested when it’s them in the donkey show.

Well I don’t believe that you ever heard that because it goes without saying. Don’t think you’re going to scam your way out of this one that easily.
Are there evil Equestrians hanging out in your neighborhood? Learn how to rid yourself of such a serious problem, but be prepared to enlist the help of others.
1) Call the local, state and federal police.
2) Talk to your neighbors and other property owners in the area about these quadrupedalist villains. They may have useful information to relay to the police.
3) Is this property a rental? Go to The Tax Appraisal District to find the owner. Let them know that the “reprobate cavalry” are on their property.
4) Start a “Neighborhood Watch” in your area.
* A neighborhood watch does more than just ally against horse dealers: all quality of life crimes are reduced when neighbors are vigilant and do not compromise their stance. A weekly meeting with a few spliffs and pizza helps create a bond.
* Take pictures of the riders (surreptitiously of course), the paraphernalia left behind, like empty oat bags, provides hard evidence for the police to do their job.
* Children require alternatives to horses, so work with your community to ensure quality options to Equasy.

* Don’t threaten the equestrians. Be wary of confronting them rashly; While a very small minority may be reasonable people, there is the distinct possibility this will be a very dangerous course of action.
The equasy they have today is different to what it was when we were teenagers. New strains of horse are now up to twenty times stronger than the old nags we enjoyed in the 60s. We must protect our vulnerable young against the harm caused by this new deadly type of equine. We must send a message to the cartels and the other horse-traders that we will go to any lengths to stamp out this quadruped curse in our schools and playgrounds.
Re: Strayon’s reference to prof. Nutt’s original comparison of horse riding and ecstasy…. (as it costs 32 UK pounds to read beyond page 1. i haven’t read it). However, judging by the paper’s title: “Equasy — An overlooked addiction with implications for the current debate on drug harms” it sounds as though he was quite intentionally ridiculing current UK drug policies (as well as making a scientific risk assessment) and this may have been the reason he was fired. Has anybody seen the whole report? At the time he was removed by the Brown government I don’t recall any reporting of this apparent piss-take element by Nutt. I suspect he may have just had a belly-full of the absurdity of Uk policy and decided to mock it with equasy, knowing he would probably be fired.

Prof Nutt wasn’t trying to ridicule the drug policies, he just wanted to open a debate, the hysterical reaction of the Labour Government shut that debate down almost as soon as it started.

Thanks for the link….. I might have known it would be the odious Jaquie Smith. She deliberately muddies the water by saying “I’m sure most people would simply not accept the link that he makes up in his article between horse riding and illegal drug taking.” As Nutt makes clear, the link is the completely valid comparison of the potential harms caused by the two activities. Smith responds with the usual emotional cliches about insensitivity and the wrong message etc., avoiding any reference to the scientific argument put forward by Nutt.
BTW Jaquie Smith was the Home Secretary who admitted smoking cannabis as a student but nevertheless pushed for increasing the maximum jail sentence for possession of cannabis from 2 years to 5 years.
Yes by raising the classification from C to B it “officially” raised the sentencing, however there was a quote from Jaquie Smith at the time (which I would love to find) that sentencing for possession wouldn’t be changed from when it was Class C, (not many people get a custodial sentence for mere possession anymore, and if they do it’s normally for a matter of months rather than years).
Her main aim for raising classification was to “send a message”. Just what that message was is anybodies guess as the only result of that facade was to raise the price to nearly £300 an ounce which in turn increases the organised gangs, encourages more people trafficking to work the commercial grows and ups the violence.
Use is decreasing over here according to the government, but what they haven’t taken into account is that more and more people are ditching the dealers and growing their own indoors.
What the government have now done however, is to charge a small personal grower with production (which basically means they were growing to deal). By doing this the police can bring in the forfeiture laws, effectively removing any property the person has.
It seems the coalition are fans of US drug policy so we expect them to get a lot harsher in the future. Good times ahead for the UK.

Horses have been a part of our society for many many years how on earth anyone can compare them to drugs beggers belief. For the joker who thinks hes a comedian

Maria, he wasn’t talking about the loss of the young girl’s life. He was talking about the relative dangers between the hobby of equestrianism and drug use.
I like horses too; I worked on a race-track training facility for almost a year, and I got to know quite a few fine horses. Some (those not twisted by inbreeding) were very friendly if you showed the slightest kindness towards them, and it was always gut-wrenching and heart-breaking when one you got to know had to be put down.
But you always had to be careful to follow the cardinal rules about approaching them from their left rear, no startling moves or noises, etc., as one poor groom found out when he was also kicked in the head by an animal he had had lots of personal experience with.
But I will always treasure that time, regardless of the daily risks I faced. Risks that far outstripped any danger from personal cannabis usage.
