Slopestylers are, without a doubt, the ultimate stoners of the Winter Olympics. And I’m not even saying that they use cannabis. They just have this awesome and relaxed joie de vivre.

OT (because I just stumbled across this gem):
So true! Where’d you find that one? I googled and only hit your comment here.
Another OT. Watching the progress of our movement towards freedom and logic, it appears that the time to change tactics is upon us. For the past 40 years, I have watched the prohibitionists attack as we defend. Now that the tide is shifting, it is time to attack. Don’t defend, attack at every opportunity. Their defences are weak, the public can now see through their lies. Don’t accept anything they say at face value. Attack every position they take. Just as the Roman Legionnaires were more vulnerable once their solidity was broken, now is the time to expose their lies, to show their stupidity, to call them on their bigotry. Look at what we can force them to say when they deviate from their canned talking points. For stupid Patrick to admit that alcohol is worse, for their spokespeople to admit to Congress that cannabis is much less harmful than alcohol and tobacco, and for Dr. Gupta to call the government liars, is extremely significant because it exposes the public to the fact that we have all been played for fools. Since nobody likes to be known as a fool, most people will ‘evolve’ to where they don’t even remember backing prohibition. Then it ends.
Thumb-up 10
ditto that! and a props to strayan’s lead off.
For them, this is the ugly part. The smoke is blowing away the mirrors are shattered and the ugly deception of Prohibition II is becoming exposed.
I’m waiting for the first deep inside whistleblowers, hoping to be among the first to cover their asses, to release that cabinet full of “oh-shit-we-can’t-let-these-out” documents.
I mean seriously, the drug war is fugging uckly. It’s a brutal and torturous enterprise. And the more that ugliness is shown, the faster that wall falls.
Hardhats ladies and gents – swing at will! (Not Will he’s a friend o’ mine, tyvm)
And personally, I would not want to be a professional prohibitionist these days… it sucks being a poop-flinging monkey and having the poop flung back.
Yeah Pete, give us a break,we got two thumbs each, aren’t you over-regulating a little and when are you
going to add the: mlm choice?
Third OT
In the light of Obama’s half-hearted acknowledgement that cannabis is “no more” dangerous than alcohol, here’s a report on just how dangerous alcohol can be, and i defy him to find a equivalent story on the dangers of mj:
http://tinyurl.com/kxdou6f
http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/fact-sheets/alcohol-use.htm
There are approximately 88,000 deaths attributable to excessive alcohol use each year in the United States.1 This makes excessive alcohol use the 3r d leading lifestyle-related cause of death for the nation.2 Excessive alcohol use is responsible for 2.5 million years of potential life lost (YPLL) annually, or an average of about 30 years of potential life lost for each death.1 In 2006, there were more than 1.2 million emergency room visits and 2.7 million physician office visits due to excessive drinking.3 The economic costs of excessive alcohol consumption in 2006 were estimated at $223.5 billion.3
The CDC has no fact sheet for marijuana because the CDC has no records for any substance that has no statistics if they don’t impact health costs or kill anyone,,run that at
kev,,and notice the distinct difference in the wording of the ONDCP’s claim of 466,ooo ER visits “involved”marijuana ,,but the CDC uses “due to” and not one “could be linked with” in the entire report,,amazing
Maybe they’re so relaxed because they’ve accepted that their Olympic Urine is the property of the drug testing industry.
Sorry, but if the sporting event in question does not involve engines or wheels, or doesn’t involve flinging a flat, plastic disc, I’m not interested. I’ll make an occasional exception for badminton, but it requires large quantities of cannabis to play properly.
OT. Jeremy Bufford is anticipating good news from the 2014 Florida election in November. He’s already started a marijuana college. Classes at Medical Marijuana Tampa cost $499, and class signup is already full. Fifteen new jobs have been created by MMT so far and Florida hasn’t even voted yet. If launching new colleges is an example of marijuana amotivational syndrome, then the country needs more marijuana users.
I wonder if they’re going to their locker rooms and puffing on a vape pen…
Not when they’re drug tested after every event.
looks like spam to me…
Ross Rebagliati wiki
Ross Rebagliati (born July 14, 1971 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional snowboarder and founder of Ross’ Gold, a Canadian Medical Marijuana company.
He turned pro in 1991. He was the first ever to win an Olympic gold medal for Men’s Snowboarding at the 1998 Winter Olympics. After winning the gold, he was found to have Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his circulatory system and he was automatically disqualified. This decision was eventually overturned, largely on the basis that marijuana was not on the list of banned substances, and Rebagliati was given back the medal. THC has since been listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) as a banned substance.
Rebagliati was the subject of full-page coverage in the July 14, 2008 edition of Sports Illustrated, which profiled his life since his Olympic win.
My elder son is a long term snowboarder (still doing inverted tricks at age 50), and he can tell anyone who asks that pretty much all non-professional/Olympic snowboarders use cannabis; and a lot of pro’s, too, when they are not competing.
Interesting account of companies who make money out of caging humans. I knew something about privatized prisons but I hadn’t realized the extent of the for-profit probation services. Whole generations of retired prison and probation staff have taken over the business for themselves and run it pretty much above the law.

Speaking of a slippery slope, Pat Kennedy will be on Colbert.
Is Colbert slumming for ratings? http://tinyurl.com/kpc4bfl I doubt Mr Kennedy will have a free run of things.
Editors choose photos to go with articles. When you see only flattering pictures of a politician or other famous person, you know the editor likes them. When you see one that is totally unflattering, like the one accompanying this article, you know that the editor doesn’t like them. This is a not-so-subtle way they have to affect public perception. Notice how stupid he looks in this particular shot, with his mouth wide open and his face distorted. Tidal shift? You bet.
Around his second season, half of Colbert’s audience discovered he was a comedian.
Patick Kennedy flunked drinking. How does that make one eligible for free TV rehab advertisements? Riding the name to the ground. The guy who was with his cousin when he was charged with rape. He paid for the crime, with Master Card. After his ordeal Pat tick comforted him saying everything is’ going up in price. Then he joined Rush and failed Oxy. Which gave him the notion to make lots of money forcing people who aren’t good at drugs and booze. Into Rehibition Asylums curing them of cannabis they use as a remedy for pan, seizures or less damaging leisure than booze or drugs. Not addictive, no hang overs and tend to lead people away from the white powders Pat tick tried so hard to be good at. Cannabis can help people get away from addictive behaviors and substances. A Must Remove for any self appointed moralist profiteer. These are nothing but Jackals and Hyena’s searching for rotting corpses prohibition creates, just to get a meal ticket. Pat tick, #1 Son of SAM.

Oh my, He’s gonna be in trouble we he gets home, Nora’s gonna spank his ass… YET AGAIN!
Colbert got him to totally undermine *The Cause* = where he said – That he couldn’t smoke marijuana much (back when he was “using”) because of his asthma.
But if he’d had edibles and these ‘new ways of taking THC’ – (presumably vaporizers) he actually admitted he might have stopped at marijuana… And you can the realization hit his addled brain – so he adds-in that it would’ve taken him much longer to realize he was an addict & in denial.
You absolutely MUST watch the clip = I can’t begin do it justice, Only patrick can fuck up something that badly.
Colbert talks about investing in pot, and then Pat talks about SAM being about having fines & rehab instead of jail “for those that need it” (It stands to reason that he just admitted some folks that “use” illegal drugs don’t need to go to rehab (ostensibly because they’re not “abusing” them – or not addicted)…
But according to SAM = (via Pat) maybe they just need to be fined – into behaving as their told = apparently?
He brings up that this is/will become a more “permissive” (society or culture?) And that’s REALLY BAD – he didn’t actually explain why this is so. But just trust him its “BAD” = (fat chance, short bus).
Somewhere in there he talks in pseudo-jest(?) about being a good liberal he doesn’t like big business – and ‘Big Marijuana’ will be advertising, and it’ll become a nightmare of a scene = with happy stoners as consumers in a country made for consumption.
Colbert (in character) jokes so, “I should invest in rehab then?” – And Pat says “Yes” – because there’s going to be (already has been?) a huge surge in people needing treatment for their addictions’.
Keep in mind he was selling “the gateway” lie (based on his personal failings) of moving from one drug to another & another… right before he accidentally replied ‘yes’ to Colbert’s – So, if it weren’t for the asthma you might never have moved on to other drugs?
Going along with Colbert’s suggestion that he might not have used stronger drugs if he could’ve used marijuana… = Selling-Out “The Gateway Theory”, But then realizing he just committed political Hari-kari!
He tried to carefully remove the blade before going – “The Full-Sepuku” on National TV. Saying that if he’d used marijuana he might have used it for years = “on the slow train to nowhere” with out major problems [He essentially admits people can be *functional cannabis users* – you gotta hear him say it in his words!]
And that this could’ve postponed his Enlightenment -aka- learning that he was/is = ‘an addict’, and that would’ve been horrible!?
(Uhm), So – Because with the much more problematic drugs Alcohol, Cocaine, Oxycontin – it still took him forever to hit rock bottom & repeated public embarrassment, to see the truth = that he’s an addict by way of a brain-disease and can’t control his consumption of ‘fun’ substances???
**Maybe it’s that – he might never have met the one true love of his life. Nora V, who explained the world of addiction and his one failing = that he’s powerless to control or moderate his own behavior?**
So, then “it’s an all or nothing affair” with him?
Unlike many of his other famous family members – JFK being the premier example – He was reportedly either in excruciating pain, OR (at least) a little bit ‘high’ 24/7/365 – probably more than a little times…
Talk about a functional addict = he kept the hawks from pushing him/us into a Nuclear War!
Yep, “Drugs are horrible” – I mean they make you stupid, ruin your life, & enable you to deal with the Cuban Missile Crisis… “Slow Train To Nowhere” My Ass!
Stupid Patrick is our greatest ally. Let him speak his inanities and then use them against SAM, ONDCP etc. Having never met a Kennedy, only having exposure through the MSM, I can’t help but wonder whether the rest of the clan is as stupid. Whoever introduced Patrick to Kev-Kev and convinced him to join forces, did us a huge favor.
