Here at the Office of National Drug Control Policy, we are proud to work alongside veterans who lend their talent and energy to the important task of reducing drug use and its consequences across the country.
I have a feeling that our veterans who are regular commenters here may have a slightly different perspective…
I am still waiting for the ONDCP to send it’s budget request for next year,,if it drops for the first time since the bureaucracy was created it would give the veterans on the couch a new day to celebrate and the hope that no more veterans will be killed protecting the bankers drug crops.
It says NOTHING about vets. It says “the ONDCP is proud…” “Working along side” could also be construed as “hooking them up” after a bust. To the rest of my Brothers, (I know you’re tired of it, but) “Welcome Home!”
I have a message for the ONDCP. FUCK OFF!!!
Happy Veterans day, brothers. That’s for those of us who served. To the children…don’t go. I hate Veterans Day. Almost as much as I hate Memorial Day. The poor and ethnic do the dying. The establishment profits. I hate Veteran’s Day. Really. I do.

I’m w/ Jeff… the ONDCP can fuck off. Worthless pimps.
and I’m w/ darkcycle… this is never a fun day. I wish there were far fewer of us vets. I wish to dog there had never been veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan…
I wonder what the ONDCP has to say about those of us who served honorably for over 7 years, were awarded several decorations and letters of commendation, but rebelled against the US Army drug testing policies and got chaptered out.
Well, I have something to say to them.
After over 30 years of listening to your lies and propaganda, the people are finally waking up. Ha ha, you lose! Go get a real job! Sure hate it for ya!
With all the dope being smuggled through Iraq to fund the various insurgent groups, I cannot help but think that Willard floats up the Tigris or Euphrates looking for Walter Kurtz (reading the book a second time and cannot remember all of it).
Thank you ONDCP for helping a policy that has its hands in the creation of a global drug black market: the kind that significantly funds terrorism and forces us Class of 01’ers and current youngens to go off to war because Pearl Harbor told the 9/11 generation how to respond. The ONDCP has help make it possible for me to join up in the early 2000’s and to see many of my very young teenage friends join up a decade after the attack –a decade after the buildings collapsed on our high school graduation ceremonies . . . Alas class of 01’.
just saw a segment from this on PBS newshour, was pretty good:

days like this just make me imagine my dad and the frozen hell of the Ardennes in the Battle of the Bulge. I understand now better than ever why he never shared too many of those stories.
He was a guy my size, 5’9″ and 150# soaking wet. He was in the 12th Infantry as a heavy machine gunner, and it was the 12th that the Germans first attacked, with their 212th Volks Grenadier Division.
But that’s not my point.
My point is that we really need to stop creating disabled veterans, homeless veterans and veteran suicides. As with much it does the gummint and it’s leaders (save for those who are vets) only pay lip service to caring for and about veterans.
It’s one of many ways that need change.
