Now if they can just find enough compassion to use marijuana as a fist-line medicine for all it is capable of instead of forcing patients with arthritis and other ailments to take Celebrex or some other big pharm chemicals with death as a possible side effect.
UN anti-narcotics panel urges Uruguay to reconsider draft law on cannabis sale

1 August 2013 – The independent United Nations body tasked with monitoring the production and consumption of narcotics worldwide today urged Uruguay to review a draft law that would permit the sale of cannabis for non-medical use.
If adopted, the law would be in contravention to the provisions of the international drug control treaties, in particular the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, to which Uruguay is a party.
Here come the bully boys with trade sanctions in one hand and drug war funds in the other.
Clay, they’ll only drive more South American nations into the arms of the BRICS consortium, which is becoming a major opponent of the Anglo-American commercial sphere.
And given the rising importance of SA in the near future the threat of economic sanctions becomes less effective. Bolivia, for example, with its’ huge lithium (as in batteries) deposits, stands to become a major player in any ‘green’ initiatives in Developed countries.
And Uruguay can do just as Bolivia did, and exit the SCT any time it wants with just 6 months notice of its’ denunciation.
Yes, Bolivia did return…but on its’ own terms, not the under the terms the US and its’ sycophants wanted. Uruguay can do exactly the same thing. I imagine with this latest overbearing affront to Latin American pride, that denunciation may not be long in coming.
I figure if they send the notice now they will be out of the STC just about the time the first full term legal crop comes off.
People are sick and tired of having the STC shoved in their faces when their People demand change. And with IL joining the pack, we inch closer to the half way mark. Just how many states will it take? All 50? 25+1? Either way, they gotta know we’re gonna go for it! Howard has suddenly started seeing more interest in our position. Countries are pulling “the bird” outta their pocket and displaying it more often today. The UN realizes they’re in the throes of losing power. What a turn around!!!
