Scott Morgan has a fun read in the Huffington Post: How to Write a Clichéd, Unpersuasive Argument Against Drug Legalization.
So much familiar in his critique of Manon McKinnon’s particularly ignorant OpEd in The American Spectator: Drug Legalization Chic.
Nicely rendered piece…he is preaching, more or less, to the converted over at HuffPo…hopefully writing like this can get published or picked up in some of the other side’s sites..
I noticed that, in the actual anti-drug article (not the clever response) there is no ability to comment.
In fact, I’ve noticed that most Drug Warriors don’t allow comments on the articles they’ve written.
Almost like the article is The Emperor’s Decree, rather than an opinion from someone with a conflict of interest.
There were 241 comments there last I checked.
yeah, even I saw the comments w/ a dial-up modem. They weren’t worth reading for the most part, saw Malcolm there with his rake and push broom.
And Scott nailed it… I was commenting on another post about this… they keep rerunning the same opinion. Different authors but virtually the same. Keep swinging those hammers and picks! That wall will fall.
Check your script blocker. I had to allow some scripting through on that site to even see that there was a comments section below.
And…. completely off topic, Pete are you doing anything with the site for tomorrows Protest SOPA/PIPA day?
Nooooo….! Pete…don’t go down! I’ll have to watch TV. Don’t MAKE me watch TV!
same here,,don’t make me watch CNN
???
Drug WarRant will be participating in the protest against SOPA and ProtectIP tomorrow. We will be essentially dark, with links to information on the issue and ways to contact your Congress.
However… if you check the links on the right side of the home page tomorrow, you’ll still be able to get to the posts, and comment. It’ll just take you an extra step.
Essentially, there will be a front page buffer.
Awesome to hear! Besides the underlying security issues the potential repercussions on information exchange are astoundingly broad. /end post jack
Pretty explicit LSD trip in a new cartoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B4uz3v0SDU
Which is even more obvious when you’ve seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk9eLbi0QYg
Adventure time and regular show are literally made by stoners for stoners. It’s awesome.
